  • Watch?

DH would like a new watch. Getting it for our anniversary. Budget = less than $300, and that number is high. It tells time for fucksake.

He wants something in a gunmetal color metal or similar, nothing shiny. I'd like it to look sleek, dressy, but be durable, water resistant , not huge (DH has small wrists). No need for 50 dials. Something classic. Dress, sport, everyday at work watch.

    Help. And soooooooon.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute, Heidi! Or penultimate, I guess...

I've got nothing since all of my accessories come from Walmart or Target...

There are a bunch that came up when I did a search at Macy's, more in stainless than in a gunmetal, but there were a few...

I know. But I'll get it done. There's the difference.

I'm asking DH because dude has a thousand watches. Really, he has a bit of a fetish. No joke.

He says Bulova has nice watches. Maybe one of these? They range in price but might be what you're looking for.

          Have tried Overstock.com or Amazon.com?

Have you tried Nordstrom? They have a good variety in that price range that I think would match your description, plus free shipping. Try this link:

(hopefully that takes you to the greys in the $150-$300 range)

Costco carries Seiko (and others) often which aren't as bulky as most men's watches seem to be. Good prices, even better return policy.

Check out the Citizen Eco Drive line. Cool watches, various options, reasonable priced but still high quality.

I think Skagen has some cool-looking and affordable ones, like: this one or this one. Citizen too.

^^ My DH and I both LOVE Skagen. They're so unobtrusive compared to most watches.

If you have the time, I would just head over to Millenia and check out the dept stores and possibly the jewelers. I'm no help - my dad had a Brietling (before they were broke and he had to sell it), and DH wants a Rolex DateJust :eyeroll:

The last watch that DH had (and loved) was about $150 Seiko from Sam's. It was titanium, so very lightweight and the color C is wanting. I'd maybe also head to the outlet - they have a number of watch places there!

Found a Skagen. Hope he likes it. It's really thin and lightweight.

I love these. DH has one and wears it every single day. It is super light weight and really thin.

Anyone ever heard of Boccia? They are titanium with sapphire crystals and seem to get RAVE reviews everywhere but they're cheap, like $150 - $400. The one DH wants for FD is $165 - I'm skeptical...anyone?
