Shoooooooot! Honestly I don't really want to stand out in any way good or bad. I just want to look good my age and not weird. And I'm not usually a fashion forward person so I think I'm most comfortable in simple. Is it bad?

I think it is the neckline. I will let some of our fashionistas weigh in on the dress (though I like option #2 much better than 1). For heels, I'd check out payless.

Some really cute options for around $30. I'm assuming you'll wear these shoes maybe once a year or so.
I always do jewelry that is sentimental, so I'm not a great source for the accessories, but I think this is a dress where the accessories will make it or break it. Also, I don't know if you looked, but our Rack has a great selection of Spanx at decent prices.-Deb

You look AWESOME! What on earth are you complaining about girl?! Call me when you have some REAL figure flaws.
P.S. The back of the dress makes it much more stylish to me. I didn't see that in the initial listing.Angie

It looks so much better on you than the pics you posted. Really, really cute and not matronly. If you walk around in that pose, you'll need no accessories (though you will get a lot of attention).-Deb

You look really happy in that dress which is the most important thing of all. But, I do think you could stand having it taken in here and there to make it really flatter your figure.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

OHHH I'm glad that this one seems better! My husband thought it was better too. And really..the black dress is much more flattering on my bod than jeans and muffin top. which is what I'm usually sporting. Although I did pick up a new pair of NYDJ jeans today and I'm feeling pretty muffin topless.
Also....next time one of you are in my area how about someone comes shopping with me and shows me how to dress. lol-Mommy, FM wife, Disney Planner and Hoosier
