I got a sample of Loreal's bb cream in the mail. Tried it. Loved it. I remember seeing an email from sephora with several brands. I want to buy a bottle or tube. Drugstore? Or Sephora? Brand recs?

Here's a pretty thorough comparison of three BB creams, including loreal's: http://www.stuffiputonmyself.com/201...theyre-ok.htmlSandy

I think it depends on your personal preference and also what you're looking for. Higher SPF? Color? Consistency? The original BB creams from Asia are blemish balms so they're supposed to help fix skin problems but in America, they're usually marketed as beauty balms. But since they're getting so popular you can try everything from higher end lines like Dr. Jart to drugstore brands. My friend really likes this brand from Korea: http://www.theskinfoodus.com/index.asp

I've never even heard of a BB cream. Sounds like an al-in-one foundation with new marketing.Tara

I just switched to Clinique's BB cream and I really like it. Still use Oil of Olay daily moisturizer underneath, and Bare Escentuals mineral veil on top. I do not feel like I need any concealer, though. I think I have reached the end of my time with BE, and this is working well as a replacement.Wife of an OB/Gyn, mom to three boys, middle school choir teacher.

OK, so tell me how you all use BB cream -- what does it replace? I've used tinted moisturizers in the past and couldn't find one that didn't leave me feeling/looking greasy. I don't wear makeup as often as i used to, but I typically use a little bit of lightweight foundation, sometimes mixed with a little retinol moisturizer and some Smashbox primer. Then I usually go over with a little powder and then move on to any eyes/cheeks/lips that I'm doing, depending on the occasion. If I'm just running to the store I usually just put on some Clinique Superpowder, blush and mascara. Where does BB fit in?
I've been thinking for a while I need to revamp my makeup routine. Some days I don't wear any, but if I'm going out I tend to wear more, and then I feel like two different people. I need a daily routine again... Maybe BB cream is a good place to start?Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.
