I definitely like the leopard shoes better. I'm torn on the dresses. I like the bow detail and the pretty neckline on the black one but the red is obviously a festive color and the dress looks comfortable. I'm no help...

I definitely like the red dress and the leopard print shoes. I think the cowl neck pulls attention to your face and away from your bottom half (projecting my body images here!).

I just feel very self-conscious in it. Very body-hugging! A sweet trendy lady in Target helped me find a purse and wrap for it. We'll see.

I did go back to Macy's this morning (with kids) and found a snake-print dress and a pair of wide-leg sheer-over-solid black dressy pants. Not sure what ill end up in. Eek! I can do this.

I agree that it is very body hugging, but from the pics you posted, it looks like it hides more than show. I thought the gathers around the hips on the black dress aren't quite as flattering. Do you have spanx or a knock-off?

Second that idea -- sometimes I just feel better wearing spanx under something that is body hugging, even if it doesn't look like it needs it! Makes me feel more secure or something.

I third the Spanx idea. I like feeling held in and also tend to get cold so gives a little warmth.

I like the red. You look very happy in it, too. The leopard shoes are jazzy. I don't mind the other dress or the mary janes, though. I think the black looks just a little blah -- even though I ALWAYS go for the black myself. (I am no fashion maven!)

Thank you for all. I didn't go with any of the stuff I bought (I have some returning to do!). After standing in my closet and texting pics to ST, 13, & LM for an hour and a half, I put together something. I did hear LSW in my head as I bought hosiery this morning and did not buy plain -- mesh looked fun, but not too wild! Will post a pic in a private forum.

Yay! Can't wait to see the pics and most important thing is that you have fun!

I think I'll save the raisin/black/lace dress for Christmas Mass maybe?
