  • Fall Purchases? Wardrobe?

Hey party people, just wanted to see what everyone plans on wearing this fall and also what you plan on getting to update your wardrobe. I'm short on funds so I'm digging through old things and finding a lot that I had forgotten about. It's like finding money in your pocket and getting excited

Well, I just had a little shopping spree last week and took advantage of the Loft 40% off day. I had no pants since I had a baby 8 months ago. I bought a pair of colored skinny jeans and a regular pair of denim. I never thought I would find myself in skinny jeans but they aren't skin tight like jeggings. I also found some brown boots which I am unsure if I will keep because they are kind of trendy. I am excited to be able to fit into something besides sweat pants again. I am on my third day of Insanity so I hope in 60 days, I will need to buy a smaller pants size.

I am really attached to my bootcut pants and am afraid to wear skinny jeans! Lily, are your Prada heels comfy? It's still too hot to break out any sweaters but I'm starting to bring out a couple sequined cardigans and boots. I splurged on a couple of necklaces from eBay so those are my big purchases for the fall since I figure they'll get worn year round. Lots of skirts and dresses for me and menswear stuff like vests and ties. I either look like an Easter egg or a dude. No in between.

It's been cool here for a few weeks already, so I've made the switch to skinnies and boots paired with sweaters and jackets. I've been sticking to flat boots lately -- a new dark brown short moto style with a wide ankle, and my calf-height beat-to-hell brown Fryes. I live in fashion hell, so I still show up most places looking overdressed. I killed my black knee-high flat boots last year, and I'm going to try to replace them before we go to Italy over Christmas. It's tough because I'm trying to be as cheap as possible but will under no circumstances buy anything other than good leather. Other than that, I'm trying to be SO SO cheap this fall since I'm spending so much money in other places. Mint.com told me that I only spent $15 on at clothing stores this month! That's amazing for me.

So I'm trying to make the most of my closet... My usual purse is a gray satchel, so I can keep that going for now, but I occasionally switch it out for a vintage coach cross-body. My late fall/early winter jacket that I wear the most is a black wool tweed moto style. I have a few good jewel-toned sleeveless and short-sleeve tops that I can pair with gray or black cardigans. I'll probably look for one or two more cashmere or merino cardigans or basic sweaters at TJ Max.

But anyway, those are basically the same styles I've been wearing the last 2 years. Somebody tell me what's in or out now?

LSW, you can see how challenged I am in fashion.
The best part? They are my mucking boots for coop poop patrol. :-O

Thirteen, I think those are very stylish for scooping poop!

I like! Seriously, give me any kind of knee high boot and I will make love to it.

What color are your snake skin jeans? What tops and jackets do you do with those jeans? I see them everywhere but don't understand what tops to wear. I also saw this top the other night and wanted it but didn't know what to wear under it. Tag says its a cardigan. Not in super cold weather area. What do you think? Maybe just copy the outfit on the website? http://www.sears.com/metaphor-women-...&blockType=G18
