  • Husband pjs.

So dh wants pjs and not just normal pjs. I think it is crazy to spend that much money. But it is what he wants for Christmas. So would you get brooks brother full set pjs. Or Burberry bottoms.

If that's what he wants, why not a pair of polo, Tommy Bahamas, or Calvin Klein. They're half the price (but still a pretty big luxury).

Yeah.. for the amount they actually bother to put on PJs... seriously. Macy's has nice pajamas and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg:

The only way I would spend $110 on my husband's PJs is if they can with a build-in, solid gold penis cozy.

Seriously, you're paying for a label here. I guess you need to decide whether the $70 difference for a label between an ordinary pair of PJs and these is worth it. I once bought DH a pair of very expensive shoes--he really liked the maker (Cole Hahn), even though I thought they looked absolutely identical to a pair by another maker that was half the price. But, it was the only thing he wanted for Christmas one year.

I don't think I could ever convince myself to hit the checkout button on that order!

Give him nothing and tell him that is what you want him to wear to bed. If he protests he is crazt

What is the male equivilant of Chanel No. 5? That's what Marlyin Monroe wore to bed.

A gift by it's nature is to be frivolous and fun. If it's in your budget get him whichever option you think he would like the best. I'd go with the Burberry because they are more fun and youthful IMO. Also, if those last 10 years your investment is only $11/year and less than $1/month. Dh has some PJs and robe that lasted more than 15 years.

Does he wear PJs now or does he think that getting luxe ones will make home wear them?

I agree with Pollyanna, though - gifts should be fun and something you wouldn't normally get. I would do the bottoms only because then he can wear various shirts depending on how warm it is. But ST's suggestion works too

Ya this is his splurge gift. He does wear pjs all the time. As soon as he gets home he changes into them. Nordstroms has a great return policy, and thy have Burberry an the brooks brothers so I may just get them from there.

I love Tara's response. DH insisted on getting me a Burberry purse with some of his first moonlighting check. It was for my birthday. And I will use it for many years to come. Burberry is always classic.

My vote is for the Burberry, but I'm a big PJ bottoms and tshirt person. Since he's a big PJ wearer I'd get him something that was a little different from what he already has. ST's suggestion is a really close second .

I agree that gifts are to be fun and frivolous. And if that is what your DH wants, then get them for him. You guys would be shocked at some of the frivolous stuff my DH wants. But he works his ass off for our family and IMO, can have whatever he wants.
