  • Nude pumps

Ok, so now I own nude pumps (thanks to all who contributed to the holiday party thread).

What other occasions can these things be worn? Specifically, what season, what level of formality, and what do they go with? I assume you don't wear hosiery with nude pumps? So these are fall/spring shoes? Can they be worn with pants? Are they considered a neutral or do you wear with brown? What about with black? What about with jeans?

Use simple sentences. I'm fashion challenged. Like seriously, seriously challenged. Perhaps hopeless.

Nude pumps are neutral to be worn with skirts and dresses to elongate your leg. You can wear them with any color including black. They can be worn to the office, luncheons, weddings. They are very versitile.

Seriously, you can wear them with everything. They're particularly great with colorful outfits when black feels too dark and serious but you don't have anything else that goes. Mostly with skirts/dresses since the whole point is to elongate your leg. Not that you can't wear them with pants, but it does kind of defeat that purpose. Just think of them as a basic neutral.

They were on sale at Zappos, $39.

Pretty cheap for an (apparently) very versatile shoe.

And once again, my drive-by reading of thread posts has resulted in an almost-inappropriate response.

I was just going to note that I am completely in favor of nude pimps, to avoid uncomfortable stereotypes involving gold "bling" jewelry, open-to-the-navel shirts, and men's fur coats (never OK unless you are in Russia. In December).

I found a great pair at TJ Maxx this week for $20... BCBG and comfortable.. WIN! I've been wearing them with everything... mainly because when DH moved our apartment mysteriously two boxes of my shoes ended up in storage. Oh well.. that means I must shop... right?!

Can they be worn even in winter?

North Carolina. What color tights? Like nude tights or pale colored tights?

Remedial help here! I need specifics.

Like imagine the outfit below with a chunky knit cropped sweater in a wine color on top and a full leg tight. In NC, you could also do that same look but trade out the chunky sweater for a moto jacket and a colorful scarf looped around your neck a time or two.
