  • Skinny jeans.

It is so hard to find any skinny jeans or jeggings. Ahhh. I look ridiculous is all of them, like a mushroom.
    I need help!!

I am 5 foot and wear a 6. I am pear shape ( thighs and booty) with little ankles. They just do not look right. I keep thinking maybe when I have my boots on over them and a long sweater it will be better.

    Help!!!

I only wear them with a long shirt. I like the modern fit from loft

I like some of the skinny jeans from the 1969 collection at the Gap. They aren't too expensive, and they fit my butt pretty well.
I agree that it's hard to find skinny jeans when you're pear shape, but wearing boots on the bottom and a long-ish sweater or cardigan on the top helps balance everything out.

I second Gap. I have a black pair from their 1969 line that I've lived in for the past two winters. My lower half is shaped similar to yours and I look *ridiculous* in skinny jeans and flats. Boots make a world of difference in terms of balancing me out. Longer shirts/sweaters help too -- I normally wear mine with something that hits mid-hip or lower.

So these are some jeans that were short on me (hard to believe). So thanks to Pinterest I figured out how to tuck them in. Yay or nay?

I say yay. I wore denim capri pants with my tall boots. ST got me some boot socks to keep the jeans tucked in.

Yay. I bought skinny curvy jeans from the loft. I am pear-shaped too.

Funny, I'm looking for jeans too and just stumbled across this. It's more informative than anything I've ever read!

I have given my one pair of foolishly bought skinny jeans to my 13 year old daughter. I think I look ridiculous in them now....but you are much younger than me. I think your picture looks great!

I think you look fabulous, B. Really, though -- let's be honest here. You could wear a damn burlap sack and would still rock the hell out of it.

Not Your Daughter's Blue Jeans make really flattering skinny jeans that fit perfectly into boots...but they tend to be a little high cut on the waist...they'll make your butt look amazing though!

Thanks for the article link. I have a belly, short legs for my height, but muscular. No skinny jeans for me, but Gap Premium Straights are my new fave. I can still tuck them into boots, but they aren't too close-fitting. (And I am also much older than the OP, who I think looked great in the pics!)

The jeans fit great. Have you tried tucking your shirt in? That little bit of bright plaid floating around in dark jeans/vest is the first thing my eye is drawn towards. cute combo!

I got the idea for plaid and a vest from Pinterest. I will try and tuck the shirt in and see what I think.

You look cute. I love the boots. Personally, I haven't been able to get into the skinny jeans tucked into boots look. Seems so practical but I always feel like a swashbuckler when I do it and I don't like how the boots cut off the length of my legs emphasizing my theighs. I'm 5'2", curvy, size 4-6 so dressing tall is usually my objective. Notwithstanding the current trends. I feel most comfortable in a 2" heel under dark wash jeans with a narrow boot cut. (I read somewhere that bootcut jeans are the new mom jeans. *cringe* Buut, I've also heard that flared jeans are coming back. ) Sometimes I even wear the jeans a little too long to lake my legs look longer. Must work because when people observe that K1 is tall (like my hubby) they comment that I'm tall too. However, I have gotten some black leggings that I tuck into high heeled black boots. The momochromatic look creates and unbroken line and the heels give me some height which make me more comfortable.
