    So, I placed an Etsy order on Thursday. When I placed the order, I also sent a message to them to find out if my order will arrive before 2/4 since it's a dress for DD for vacation. I also noticed that this is the only item on the shop, and they've never had a customer, and just "opened" mid-Nov. Not a huge deal - gotta start someplace.

    I still haven't heard from them. I have until Thursday to cancel my order. WWYD?

    I'd wait a little longer and cancel on Thursday if you don't hear back.

      I'd ping them again today, and cancel tomorrow EOD if you still haven't heard back in the affirmative.

        Yes, send them a message. Inquiries like that show up as a footnote to the order. If they are inexperienced, they may have missed it.

            Contacted them through all means listed, no response. I requested cancellation today. Do they have to accept the cancellation or does Etsy? My concern is if they aren't checking their store, they may not notice the cancellation. Hmmm

              I'm not sure. I had one cancellation where the buyer misunderstood my product and requested something I could not make. I had to first refund her money through paypal and then obtain a cancellation from etsy. I would think that you could do the same in reverse.
