  • Dress Help (For pictures)

We're getting some family photos taken soon. DD is wearing her Easter dress (green and blue flowers) and I have no idea what to wear. We're getting them taken in a public garden and I'm struggling with what to go with. I'd like to wear a dress or skirt in keeping with that level of formality since she'll be wearing a dress but clearly need something a) not too short, b) probably with at least short sleeves since it's April in NC and c) Not to fussy or expensive.

    Oh and then what shoes...

    I'm a disaster.

What color is the background of her dress? I think you'd probably want to avoid more green, since there will be a lot already. I would go simple re: shoes - a metallic or neutral sandal of some kind. What about a lavender or other purple to keep it in the "cool color" family?

What about a simple sheath that picks up the color of one of the flowers in your dd dress and then a simple metallic flat? Easy peasy and something you can use over and over.

I would love this in navy. In fact, I have it in navy with a navy lace overlay - would that work? It looks like this: http://www.target.com/p/xhilaration-..._qi_detaillink

          What about this? http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...&pid=326715002

And where does one find metallic flats?

I have that wrap dress in black and wear it for everything! Um, I've seen some super-cheap metallic flats at Old Navy if you're just looking for a basic ballet style. I go through a pair every year...

Search metallic on zappos and you'll get a bunch of hits. Both dresses are nice. I like the one from BR best and would likely choose a heal with that one.

I like both of those! I get most of my shoes at Naturalizer, and I'm pretty sure they have some cute metallic flats right now.
