I can only describe the monstrosities I've witnessed here. Pics would cause my phone to implode.

    Tonight alone:

    - Minnie Mouse-looking black and white polka-dotted peplum blouse (replete with red belt hitting just barely under the boobs) worn with 6" too-long mom jeans and Nike hiking boots.

    - Mismatched socks worn with athletic sandals, a skirt, and a windbreaker.

    - Turtleneck worn under a sequined sweater. We do not live in an area where it's Feb. 82nd. We're already having almost 80F days.

    - Dress shirt with sweatpants and flip-flops.

    These are not hobos.

Camo is my cargo Capri. My friend Jessica wears it. She's a lieutenant. I'm okay with that.
Last I checked, you are not enlisted or a hunter. Have either of those changed? I still love you and would still hang out if you wore those pants.

I am going to cop to having the most atrocious pair of lavender colored mary jane style croc knock offs. I don't wear them in public and they are really freaking comfy. (mostly I wear them around the house and for yard work)

And I love capris. I like the idea of skirts but the chub rub is uncomfortable in the summer.

Spanx bike short type undergarment takes care of that! That's what I use.

This is my signature look. I am...not entirely joking.

Probably everything in my closet would offend LSW. But, for the most part, I like the way I dress. I know the rules but I don't follow them all. I don't think I fall into "What Not to Wear" territory (yet) but I am struggling with a little weight gain/weight shift since the boys were born. . . especially in the last 4 months since K2 weaned. It's like I gained 10lbs overnight. So I'm experimenting with different shapes/proportions now. Thanks goodness for thrift stores because I don't feel bad "risking" $3 to try out something different and not force myself into something that looked good two pregnancies ago. I really am trying to do skirts this Summer but gosh, I do love my capris. BTW. . . someone tell me the difference between capris and cropped pants? Is it the length? The proportion?

I must say. . . I love camo pants on my little boys. I didn't think I would and I fought the look for a long time but it's *so* cute and it hides grass stains.

That said, DrK's clothes are truly the stuff of nightmares. He loves Hawiian shirts; at any party, he'll find the guy in the loudest shirt and ask where he can get one just like it. I mean the shirt that has a wild print of Santa Claus surfing and water skiing. He'll wear button down shirts with gym shorts, black socks with gym shoes or mandels, gym socks with dress shoes, refuses to wear an undershirt, carries way too much in his pockets so his pants are always buldging and falling down . . . I like that he's not afraid of pattern or color and I appreciate that it's sometimes hard for him to find clothes in his size but. . .

I really need a good style guide for dressing men. Between attempting to dress my husband and raising two boys, I have to learn. Certainly my husband won't be able to teach the boys how to dress.

Capris generally end at the calf, cutting you off at a wide point and making your calves look enormous. Ankle pants hit right around the ankle bone. They shouldn't ever be wide or flared - slim or skinny only. I <3 ankle-length jeans for summer - I hate showing my legs unless it is unbearably hot - and since I'm almost 5'9" I just get cheap skinny jeans in the petite length instead of paying $100+ for those cute J. Crew ankle jeans. I'm sure much of my work-at-home wear wouldn't pass LSW's test, but I'm too self-conscious to actually leave the house wearing yoga pants or anything like that. I don't count it as a fashion atrocity if it never sees daylight.

                          Yes. Yes they do.

I don't mind camo on little boys. My distaste for camo was amplified when DH pick a blue camo diaper bag for the boy.

FIL has this shirt. Not kidding.
