  • Boot repair question

The boots I bought last season need help. One of the heels has "deflated." That is the best way I can describe it. They were cheap and I regret not spending more and buying something higher quality.

BUT...They are forgiving in the calves and I have a feeling I'm going to need that this fall. That, and I don't want to buy boots while I have pregnant, swollen feet and ankles. And no money because of the stupid match.

Thus, I want to see if I can get another season out of them. Besides the heel, they look fine. Anyone know if this is something that can be repaired? I did buy them at Kohls less than a year ago--any chance they would do anything if I came in with them?

    Boot repair question

Definitely take them to a shoe repair shop and see if they can be re-heeled or re-soled. They should be able to take a look and give you an idea of whether it can be done.

FWIW, I used to have my Birkenstock sandals re-heeled all the time. If they can do it on Birks, I'd imagine boots would be a lot easier.

I'd also try taking them back to Kohl's. They used to be known for returning anything.

Shoe repair place has saved my dog many times. They have managed to repair chewed up shoes/straps/heels. I'd go there first because if Kohls takes them back, you still will not have the same boot since it was from last year. Sounds like the issue is not spending more but rather the fact that these do fit you well.

That's true...although you might be surprised as to how long Kohl's reuses the same styles!

I think they are still online...might be worth a shot!

Why is the hollow heel bad for your feet?

Don't know about anyone else, but it throws off my gait and compromises the arch support.

I knew I'd get background from LSW! I'm going to try and take them to Kohl's this weekend and see what happens. And then maybe when I'm a real "Dawktor's wife" (resident's wife hahahaha) next year and I'm not pregnant, I'll spring for something nice.

Actually, maybe for my birthday (April). They should be on clearance by then!

I got a pair of Born boots for cheap at Dillards around February last year.

I got Kohls to exchange them for a new pair in black. I like the brown better and will see if I can change it out again later, but hey this works!!!
