    Maternity Dress for Wedding

    I'm going to a wedding in early Nov--I'll be about 23 weeks pregnant. I'm having a hard time finding anything that would work.

    I'm open to any color, but it's a fall wedding and I'd like to be able to wear it for Christmas too. Something in red would be awesome.

    I'm wary of anything super clingy...unfortunately I've got some love handles in addition to a bump and anything maternity clingy just seems to look lumpy everywhere. Also, so many seem to be so SHORT! I'm 5' 7" and really don't want anything more than 2" above my knee at most.

    Any ideas?

    Oh yeah, and I need to keep it under $80. Under $60 would be ideal. HELP!

      I have a black dress that has served me well for all three of my pregnancies. It's long-sleeved, a-line, tea length, v-neck, faux wrap with a tie in the back. It's worked well because it's a good foundation and I can switch out accessories to keep the look fresh. I've worn it with strappy sandals, tall boots, short chunky necklaces, long strands of beads, scarves, belts, beaded cardigans, structured jackets . . . obviously not all at the same time but you get the idea. It's worked well for everything from job interviews to high holy day services to date nights. I'd recommend investing in a maternity version of a not-so-little-black-dress and some fabulous accessories.

          Curegirl, I like both! Of course white for a wedding is a no no haha. I'm a little skeptical though, because Motherhoods stuff tends to e so cheaply made.

          MrsK funny you posted that. I've had my eye on a maternity version of that dress in blue by Seraphine. Meaning it looks just like Kate Middletons engagement dress, which I loved, but makes me hesitate.

            I love the dress MrsK posted. Reminds me of Kate's dress, too. I had a similar (although not as pretty) dress from the Gap that I wore to a bunch of events during my pregnancy. I needed something to cover my upper arms, and I felt like the deep vneck detracted from any frumpiness.

                That's a lovely dress. Why would you hesitate? Personally, I'd go for black since you are probably not going to want to buy a lot of maternity dresses.

                    You could probably find a less expensive version. I assure you, mine didn't cost $800. (But for the amount of use I've gotten from it, it would have been worth $800.)

                            Wrap style dresses tend to look bad on me. I have one now and it just doesn't fit right. What looks best is something like MrsK posted, where it might look like a wrap as accents the waist, but flows with a lot of room over the hips.

                              I ordered 4 ASOS dresses that came yesterday. All a bust:

                              This in black. Screamed muffin top and looked a little too gothic
