I'd say that's a good problem to have! I feel like such a nag trying to get dh to buy me as many things as I get him. Especially since most of what I got him are functional presents he more or less needs. It's really sweet your hubby went all out

Nothing. We are not exchanging gifts. But I will make him his favorite cheesecake for Christmas dessert.

We are not getting each other anything. This is the first year we have done this. It is very strange, usually we go all out. We will see how I feel on Christmas.

To those of you who don't exchange gifts .... why not? (Just curious)

We don't exchange gifts. I don't really know why, LOL. We just always assume that the other person will just buy whatever they feel like whenever they want so ... what's the point? It's just one less thing to stress/worry about for us.

We don't exchange birthday gifts either.

This is us. We buy what we need/want throughout the year. Occasionally when we see something special we gift. ie one year I got a handmade glass tree by a local artist that dh knew I adored but would never spend the money on. I was thinking for next year of having amazon wish lists for stuff we might not normally get or for things we don't want/need right away.

Brandi, did you regret not exchanging?

She got a 7-piece set of Global knives, Singstar mikes and bunch of songs for the game, a personalized bracelet and 2 boxes of mint Oreos (which aren't available in stores in the UK). The gifts were very well received.

I hit the jackpot with him this year. I totally splurged on an impractical gift he'd never buy himself. I got him a 3 d printer. The dude has been making stuff for days now. He's thrilled. I rationalized that he will use it for the medical device prototypes he's working on, but so far he's made iphone cases, adapters, clips for cords around the house and now chess pieces.

It's great because before he was a doc, he was an art student and wanted to be a sculptor. I think he's loving the hands on creative process.

Just wanted to share my total win. With 25 years of marriage, you want to make sure you do something cool now and then!!

I got DH a pair of shoes. But he loves them! I had seen men's dress boots in an ad and thought they looked nice. He said his black shoes were almost ready to retire so he would like to try a pair. I got him Florsheim black dress boots (my sister had to guide me some). He loves them, but I want to go back to Macy's and have them check the fit to make sure it's right.

No - wish I'd looked at it, though. I love the large build area. I got an Afinia. Very easy out of box experience, but quickly wishing we had dual extruders. Who would have guessed my plastic melting desires could double in only two days? Lol

Considered the Flash Forge which is a Replicator 2 knock off.

Everything is open source and there are thousands of project designs you can customize online. It's pretty amazing.

Honestly, this is a game changer. I can see this having a big impact on the future. We have some stock in a few companies, but as people on here learn more we should share info. I can totally see this becoming the Next Big Thing.
