  • Gifts for Office

I want to pick up a little something for my fellow staff members as well as the department chair tonight. It would be 3 people total, but I'm really bad about thinking of little appropriate work gifts. I wouldn't consider myself to be really close with any of them, but I have lunch with the other staff members every so often. We talk every day, but judging by my past office experiences where I was actually *friends* with my coworkers, these are pleasant relationships but not close ones that have been forged over multiple years. Any ideas for no-hassle gifts that I can buy three of and be done with it? I hate to not really put any personalized thought into it, but I truly don't know them well enough to find personalized gifts for everyone. Thanks!

    Starbucks gift cards? Mugs?

Do you have a good locally owned chocolate shop? That is what we did for DH's staff with a bottle of wine.

That's actually not a bad idea - there's a dessert cafe here that is legendary, so that is definitely an option.

I would normally do coffee and a mug. Or an ornament. Or anything food.

I'm getting my coworkers an infinity scarf I made, socks, dunkin donuts gift cards, and a small bottle of wine.

I used to do things like starbucks/einstein's gift cards, lotto tix, chocolates/cookies, stationary. Sometimes I'd get some blinged out office supplies, like novelty paper clips or post its or something fun and colorful they could use in their cubicles.

Our office grew so much in the last year (and one of the AAs is pregnant and married to a med student), so we didn't want anybody to feel bad if they didn't buy something for everybody. We're just doing a potluck lunch tomorrow.

Our physicians always get us so much candy and snacks for the holidays, so we are really exited to have something with some nutritional value in the office.

Long story short, sweets are much appreciated, as long as nobody has been on a sugar high since Hanukkah, like we have.
