  • Everyday Shoes

I am looking for a good comfortable pair of shoes to wear daily with jean or shorts and T-shirts. I don't want sandals or flip flops, I'm covered there. I'm looking for something that would be good for lots of walking, chasing toddlers, etc. I'm not planning on working this summer so it will just be SAHM duty. I'd usually just wear tennis shoes, but mine are getting worn out and I'd like something a little cuter. I don't like it when my feet get sweaty wearing shoes without socks, but I'm open to something without socks if they were breathable. I was thinking about Toms? I'm terrible when it comes to fashion and I always feel guilty shopping for myself. Thanks.

I have a pair of Clark Privos that I have worn to DEATH, I'll be replacing them soon. I also just got two pairs of Toms, their cute too not as breathable probably.

I love my crocheted Toms and my Sperry Topsiders. Those ore my non-flip flop shoes for year-round. Whole Foods has a small selection of Toms. Nordstrom has a huge selection.

For something a little girlier, I love my Lucky ballet flats.

Those are cute but I'm fashion-stupid ... do you wear them with socks?

I have a pair of Merrell flats (they don't look like athletic shoes) that are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable and well-made. The insole is made with anti-bacterial materials, so even though I never wear socks with them, they never smell gross.

They're this style, but I have them in black:

Teiks - but they aren't inexpensive at all. Very cute, very comfy though.

I have never owned or tried on tieks but I see their full size only so do you go up in size or down if you're a half?

I went up a size. Free returns, so if it order the wrong size they will send you the other size.

Def go up a size! I wasn't sure, I went up a .5 size and they still felt short, so they sent me the next size up and told me to try both side-by-side and send back the other pair in 2 weeks. I wish I could get more, but they were a gift. I tossed every other pair of flats I owned when I realized I would never choose a different pair of flats over the Tieks.

They will, but man those waits for certain colors can be long!!! Order both and return the one that doesn't fit. Weirdly I have one pair that feels too small even though they are the same size as all the others.

I like Born or Jeffrey Campbell flats when I'm not in old school Jack Purcells.
