I see this at least once a week now in Albany. It's so gross. 20 year old girls look like they have 50 year old, droopy butt cheeks. Why....just why?

Ohhhh I am now seeing a lot of them at work now, as the kids are coming back for fall semester. I think I saw them on some of the city natives too, and they are definitely not the type that should be wearing them :shudder:
All I know is I never wore my shorts that short at that age. Maybe it's because I never really liked my upper thighs? But I don't think anyone was wearing them 10+ years ago.

It's the thing here. I find it distasteful. My 18 yo daughter has been known to do this
and I hate it. All of her brothers tease her about her "buttchicks" and generally we pretend we don't know her. She has done it much less at the end of summer. I think there is an edgy celebrity influence.

That's a thing here too, both high school and college. I live near a beach town so "vacation style" influences the everyday styles here. I will never understand why one would find that attractive. It's like when you see women with their boobs hanging out below their bikini top. Does not compute.

I had to Google it. Yuck. I didn't know that there was a name for that. The only person I knew in high school who dressed like that is the person I reference in the unlikely FB friend thread. Our babysitter showed up with her tushie peeking out of her shorts once and I couldn't help but comment "Wow. Those are some short pants!" She got the hint. I have not seen those shorts again.
