Shoe size post-pregnancy/post-weight gain

So I know it's quite common for one's shoe size to change after pregnancy. I'm 4 months postpartum and still weigh 25-30lbs more than I did pre-pregnancy, and my shoe size is one size larger than my pre-pregnancy size. What I'm wondering is how long did it take for your feet to settle into their permanent size? Do shoe sizes vary with weight gain/loss? That is, if I can drop 25lbs over the next few months, is it possible my feet will shrink too? I'm trying to decide how much longer I need to hold off on buying new shoes. It makes me sad to think over half my shoe wardrobe may be obsolete now :/

My shoe size for athletic gear went up and never went back down. Other sizes are normal.

I went from a 9.5 to a 10 permanently. However, that was just with the first pregnancy--no increase the 2nd time around and I think I will be okay this time too. But it's still a size 10!

This has to do with how stretchy your connective tissue is, doesn't it? I've gained and lost dozens of pounds, both in pregnancy and not in pregnancy, and my shoe size has never changed since middle school.

My feet grew a little (from 10 or 10.5 to 11) and stayed there through postpartum to now (two years). They were bigger the last two months of pregnancy due to swelling - that backed off, thankfully. And during that time my weight went down significantly (nursing), back up again, and then some (now, ugh).

Mine went up 1/2 of a size, and it's still there almost 4 years later. I'm down to a lower weight than I was before my first pregnancy, so I don't think it's related.

Mine stayed the same after first and went up half a size after second.

I went up a half size after baby two and another half size after baby 3. I gain a ton of weight though, 40-45 pounds and I ask a lot of my feet (currently missing two toenails and tons of blisters) so distance running may be a part of this.

I went from a 7.5/8 pre-pregnancy to a size 9/9.5 now post three kids.

One nurse laughed at me after #3 was born that she has no data to support this but she thinks the bigger your babies, the more your foot size changed.

My kids were 9 pounds 13 oz. , 9 pounds 7 ounces, and 8 pounds 13 ounces so go figure.
