  • Maternity LBD

I've been informed that I need to wear a LBD to my FSIL's bachelorette party. Help me choose. Keep in mind that I'm petite and not super thin, and most of these will be too long, but petite maternity dresses mostly don't exist, to my knowledge.

I'm open to shopping elsewhere too, but these were better options than most of what I saw at Motherhood, Gap, and Old Navy, and Pea in the Pod was mostly too expensive.

I don't love clingy fabric when I'm pregnant so a sweater dress wouldn't be good for me but I get the price appeal. My fav is an LBD from Motherhood, it's similar to this: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.as...3-369EE971B346

I looked at that one, but I worry that it will not look good on me at all. I have a bit more padding on me than you do!

During my pregnancies, I bought cotton knit LBDs from The Gap and was very happy with them. They were easy to accessorize and wear for casual or dressy.

How fitted are they? Will you be able to see all of my lumps, bumps, and dimples? Panty lines? These are the things that worry me about fitted knit dresses. I typically wear more a-line cuts.

Mine were a-line dresses. They were very forgiving and I wore maternity tights for occasions where it was really important to be lump free.

I had one similar to this.

Also, I got maternity spanxs this time around. I've worn them A TON. They are remarkably comfortable and provide some support too

Ran in to Motherhood today to try on, because I'm kind of in between their sizes, and ended up getting this one: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.as...ategory_Id=MC3

They didn't have the other one, which I think I would have preferred because it's a bit shorter, but this will work fine, especially once I get the Spanx. With the ruching, it looks OK if I hike it up a bit to make the length more appropriate for my height.
