• March 2016 Stitch Fix

20160308_173501-1.jpg

Skies are Blue Marley Faux Suede Top in Navy. $58. It's got a lace panel in front which is kind of cool. The fit is nice but IDK about faux suede. It will soon be hotter than Hades here and I generally don't have a lot of enthusiasm for faux anything.

20160308_173641-1.jpg20160308_173646-1.jpg
Crecent Gracelynn Keyhole Blouse. $44. I love the pattern and the length is great. I have some issues with the craftsmanship, however. I know that it's inexpensive but the keyhole closes with a button and the two parts that fasten don't match up; one side is slightly higher than the other. Also, it gaps under the arms.

20160308_173924-1.jpg
Adrianna Papel Noriene Maxi Dress. $128. I was so excited when I saw that they were including this in the fix because Adrianna Papel makes some beautiful floral maxi dresses. But this is too small on me and it highlights my distended postpartum/3 c-section belly. Stitch Fix sent me a too tight too small dress last month too and I complained. IDK they suddenly have my dress size wrong. Everything else they send is the right size.

20160308_174509-1.jpg
RD Style Namobour Faux Suede Jacket. $108. Again with the faux suede! And this one is damaged.

(maxed out attachments for this post). To be continued....

Kut from the Kloth Haleigh Wide Leg Denim Trouser. $88. These are really the only item I'm considering from this fix. However, I'm wondering if they are too big? They are my usual size for this brand and petite length but I don't know if they'll be falling off my hips by the end of the day. Also, too long? First picture is out of the box. Second picture is if they were hemmed 1 inch. I'm wearing super-high wedges in the picture but the stylist suggested I wear this with converse/flats which would be impossible without hemming. Thoughts?

Overall, I'm underwhelmed. It seems like Angie's observation (was it Angie?) that they sort of coast until you complain is accurate. I'm thinking of making a ruckus again. It's been 4 months since I last threatened to leave SF.

The sleeveless blouse would be cute but the fit is bad, so no. The blue suede blouse is meh... I'm not wild about the idea of wearing a faux suede short sleeve top either, and the round neck and short sleeves are boring. I would love the maxi if it fit. That faux suede jacket is possibly the worst thing I've ever seen them send anyone. The pants look OK but it's really hard to tell in the pictures.

LOL It's pretty high on the list of misses they've sent me. But I've gotten many more duds than dos.

I'll see if I can get a better picture of the pants.

It's hard to tell on the pants too, but I don't like the rest

I just tried the pants again and decided to pass on them too. They don't have back pockets and the fit is just okay. I think that I'd have major baggy butt at the end of the day in them. Too bad I have to forfeit my styling fee.

Oh, pants with no back pockets = hell no. Especially denim. Nope nope nope.

How frustrating! I agree, I wouldn't keep any of it either.

My first postpartum fix is coming March 26. I requested loose nursing/pumping friendly tops, stretchy bottoms, and everything machine washable. We'll see how they do...

alotofyarn - How was your box?

Mine came today:

Dear John - Lillie Cuffed Short - $68
I liked these a lot. It's hard for me to pay this much on shorts, but they fit great, and I liked the length. I guess I need to get over thinking of them as being a percentage of pants, so the price should reflect that percentage...

Skies are Blue - Zivon Lace Detail Top - $58
I liked this one. The lace details around the neck and bottom are fun and different. I'd need to wear a nude or strapless bra with it, so ignore the straps in the picture.

Skies are Blue - Cupertino Eyelet Detail Top - $54
I didn't love this one, no particular reason. Another view of the shorts.

41Hawthorn - Breyson Split Neck Pleated Sleeveless Blouse - $54
Not a huge fan of this one either. It was very sheer, so I put a cami underneath it, and the neck kept flopping open.

Moon and Sky - Kathney Faux Wrap Knit Top - $48
I didn't expect to like this one since I'm usually pretty uncomfortable with v-necks this deep, but I liked the way it fit, and DH loved it.

I canceled it when we ended up back in TX. I'll get one next month instead.

I kind of love them all on you, but the last one is my favorite!

Oh that makes sense. It's a bummer, though. One more kick while you're down. I hope your next box is amazing!
