  • Recommendations: Lotions?

I am in AZ and it seems like no matter what I do my skin gets very dry. Anyone have any recommendations on lotions for body and face? What has worked and what has not worked? Robin, if you're out there I would love to get your opinion since you're in AZ too. My skin type is normal. I've also tried the Bath and Body Works stuff but it seems to dry me out like a prune here. When I'm back in CA, everything's fine w/my skin but when I come back to AZ I get so dried up!

    Thanks for the input!

My skin is also classified as normal, and living in the West, the air can be sooooo drying. I have recently bought some Aveda Tourmaline skin cream in a jar (not the bottle version, which is lighter). It's been great.

For hands, I use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream when my hands get really dry. For body cream, I use Curel.

      Curel is my personal favorite.

One of my good friends is a skin therapists and she recommends drinking lots of water (you should be drinking 8 z. glasses a day) and use Nivea Lotion for Dry Dry Skin (I believe that is what the name is)

Kheil's- it's expensive but worth every penny.

I've found it at Saks. My sister-in-law introduced me to it and now I can't live without. They have samples at the counters so ask for some and see how you like it. I use their Ultra moisturizer and they also have one with sunscreen that I use when I'm going to be outside.

            Rachel,

I am in the same predicament. My skin has been has been so dry and I have tried tons of different things without much success. I will have to try some of the things that the others have mentioned. I do like Mary Kay's Satin Hands. I haven't figured out the best thing for my face yet because I have sensitive skin so I either react to it or it doesn't work! My problem is probably not drinking enough water! I need to work on that. I have no problem when I go back to Oregon either. This Arizona weather is murder on skin!

            Good Luck,

            Robin
