  • My Saturday

I was all ready to start my day and I got a flat tire! I pulled into the Borders parking lot and a lady came up to me to tell me! I didn't even know! Crazy! You know the worst part? I just had my tires changed two weeks ago - all brand new - and spent $300! At least, I had a guarantee on the tires b/c I got them at Discount Tires. Some of my friends tell me that I spend a lot of money on things, but when it comes to quality I really believe in it! I did not have a cell phone (ironic b/c I used to work @ Sprint) and had to use the phone at CompUSA to call the towtruck. The guy came and changed the tire for me into my spare (yeah, I know I should learn how to do this on my own). I had 30 minutes to get to Discount Tires before they closed but the tow truck guy was trying to pick up on me and kept talking. I had it and said I had to go. I get to Discount Tire just in time and wait around for another 45 minutes. I had a crazy day today! I didn't even get a chance to do anything! I just had to vent! Thanks for listening!

Yuck....sounds like one of those days where it's better to just run back home and jump under the covers! It's a good thing that you had a warranty on your tires though because it would have been another hundred bucks....and every dollar counts!!

I had a similar kind of Saturday. With Thomas out of town, I was so tired....and the kids really took advantage of it on Sat....They broke some things that had personal value to me, fought non-stop with each other and sassed me....I wound up sitting on the stairs crying because it was such an awful day...and the kids rallied around me promising me "breakfast in bed" the next day, etc Fortunately, Sunday was a great day for us....no breakfast in bed though...probably a good thing, because I would have had to clean up the mess in the kitchen!

I think they owe you the "breakfast in bed!" Isn't a "promise a promise and it must be kept?" LOL!
