Thanksgiving plans?

Does anyone here have anything special planned for thanksgiving?



We will be celebrating at home this year...just the 5 of us.....I'm trying to think of something to do to make it a "special" day, since we won't have extended family around...

Since Rick's step-father is here I think we'll go to the Officer's Club for dinner. I am not cooking for three people.

Too bad Thomas doesn't have call this year...we've actually spent almost every thanksgiving for the last 5 years in the cafeteria....I guess this means I'm going to have to cook and clean up for myself........

I think that it is admirable that you are going to try to cook and create a special day for your family. My only advice: don't think that you have to do everything this year. The first holiday "production" that you put on is stressful. Maybe start out this year by purchasing a ham from honeybaked ham and make all the side dishes and dessert. Hopefully this will make it less stressful for you. Of course, if you have been secretly dying to try your hand at an all out extravaganza, go for it! I just know that I was soooo stressed out when I tried to create the perfect holiday get together for my friends one year. Now I take a few shortcuts and I seem to enjoy it more. Have fun!
