So...how was thanksgiving for everyone!
We had such a GREAT day...I just couldn't believe it. To start, because Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Germany, Thomas usually doesn't want me to go to any fuss..no turkey, etc....(of course, he's had call every year, so we've spent them in the hospital cafeteria)
This year, HE asked ME if we could go to the store to buy the turkey and everything and didn't make one comment about the things I picked...not ONE!
He slept in while Finny and I fixed the turkey...the night before, the kids and I made the cranberry sauce and stuffing....
We had a really nice dinner with Les Miserables playing in the background (my favorite) and while the kids watched Mickey's Christmas, we had coffee...then it was off to a really nice park that was built in the 30's with stairs made of stone...the kids rolled down the hills while we watched and talked....then we went home and had dessert, watched 1/2 of "Christmas Vacation" and then sent the kids to bed....
It was just a GREAT, GREAT DAY! I am so happy that we had a holiday like that!!! It is really a first.
