    Reciprocity?!? Anybody?

Been anywhere good recently? Are there any newcomers to the restaurant scene? Dh and I want to try something new this weekend.

He has suggested a Brazilian steakhouse on Dearborn, but... meat (specifically beef, lamb, chicken) doesn't do all that much for me.

I'll check it out! Thanks! I have a hard time finding good places here (I don't have the same problem in NYC, Seattle, SF), but will really really try to give it a good effort...

The Webster Wine Bar is fun, although a scene. It's great for people watching. The cesar salad was incredible and the wine-by-the-glass selection is commendable.

We really didn't eat out much with DD. Our one fancy night out we hit Ambria. French cuisine. The most divine dining experince I've yet to have. Make sure you're closer to finishing training (like celebrating the new job) so you can charge it and pay it back within the next year. Superb. Think at courses and multiple waiters per table. Just don't forget your fancy pants.
Thanks! I love multiple waiters! When my mom and I were in NYC, we ate at Bouley, and I loved being waited on by multiple waiters. Sigh... The waiters would come by with appetizers for *each* course, compliments of the chef. I can't wait until we're done with training...

We went to Brazzaz, a Brazialian Steakhouse on Dearborn. It was so salty. I'm dying of thirst. We had a 2 for 1 so we save $50, but holy hell, it was awful!

bummer!!!!! I hate it when that happens. It is terrible to go out to eat and then feel like you could have made something tastier at home.

Thanks guys... I had such a hard time sleeping last night. I drank 2 bottles of Perrier right before bed, and had to get up twice in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I think I've rebalanced the chemical make-up of my body now.

We were thinking about trying a place up in Evanston this weekend: La Petite Amelie (or Amalia? Or Amelia) I'll look it up again; it's supposed to be a brasserie.
