    Did you buy a machine?
We're looking at ellipticals. Costco had one (the coupon expired on Sun. ) Let me know if you've found anything, and I'll let you know what I come up with, if I do.

We decided in a treadmill but are still in the exploration phase. We went to a fitness store yesterday and they have some benefits- like 30 year motor warranty and on-call fix-it service. But...they're pretty expensive. They did have the Consumer Reports Best Buy model.

The PX has a few different models- they typically get the previous years models and there's no warranty, you have to pay for delivery, etc.

Or we can buy through Craig's List, etc but then you're stuck with someone else's stuff- which may not be a big deal if all it was used for was a very expensive drying rack.

Bottom line- no decisions yet. I'll keep you posted.

      Thanks for the update.

I like working out on ellipticals--I find running on the treadmill extremely boring, for some reason. And noisy with all my stomping.

I've looked on Craigslist and also on ebay. But I think I'd rather go with a new machine.

Anybody wants my elliptical? It's barely used , unless it's current use as a clothes rack counts.

Alison, we bought it on ebay brand new for about $100.

Thanks for the post, Vishenka. I don't know.... We've got such a small apt. that an elliptical will take up WAY too much space. It'll be in the way.

We went to Sports Authority to see what's out there, and they're gigantic!
I'm going to have to think about this some more.

Are there any that collapse? Or at least fold in half?

I don't think ellipticals fold or collapse. Ours is not that big though, the length matches the width of the couch. We used to have it wedged in between the couch and the wall.
