  • OK Derm spouses...

Exactly how long are my wounds from my Basal cell removals going to take to heal? I have one on my collarbone area that's itching so much it's making me nuts (and I keep getting itchy around it from the adhesive on the band-aids) and the crater on my leg is impacting my yoga- it hurts whenever I have to do anything on the floor.

Is there some sort of goal- like take out twice as much area as there was in the mole? These things are HUGE!

There is some proportion of how much to take out. I've heard DH mention it. Did you have a Mohs procedure? I've just had biopsies but nothing removed so it wasn't too big. I had some itchy stitches on my face a few months ago and he said that was good because it was healing. Drove me crazy.

    I'll ask him.

I have no idea what it was called. It involved numbing the two spots and utilizing a straight edged razor blade. The one on my collar bone is 3mm X 5mm and no telling how deep. The one on my leg, aka the crater is probably 1cm diameter and easily that deep. At least it appears to be that deep.

The itching is making me CRAZY but she told me to only put Vaseline on them to keep them moist.
