My Christmas Present!!!

My best friend who lives in CA called me yesterday and said that she would be coming for Christmas! (Yes, she REALLY loves me to tear herself from her beach townhome and visit us in the Great North in the middle of winter.) I'm so excited that I can't even tell you! Whoooo Hoooo!!!

What a wonderful present! My mom just left after a 5 day visit. She was all upset about not buying me very many gifts. I had the hardest time convinving her that just her coming to see me & getting to spend some time together was what i wanted for Christmas.

I read that wrong initially and thought it said your boyfriend was coming....don't ask me where my head is! Good for you...it sounds like you guys will have a lot of fun!!



I just got the email confirmation of my mom's trip...Dec. 20-Dec 29 WaHOO..that's the longest trip she's been able to make in years!!!! It just worked out that way in order for her to book the cheapest fare...she had initially planned a shorter stay, but the airline industry and travelocity helped us to keep her longer....mom and I are gluehwein drinkers de jour... and she is bringing a couple of bottles of the "good stuff" with her that she got in germany

oooh kelly! i know that you must be absolutely excited! that will be so much fun! best friends are the best! and kris - yeah! you will have a blast together! she can help you keep the critters under control! no one is coming here for christmas but my husband is "off" - and i'm going home for another week after christmas - yeah for you two!!
