OK, I stole my husband's wedding ring.

It's too big (he was a littler chunkier immediately after medical school) and now has been wearing his med school class ring as his wedding ring (which was the original point of my giving him the classring...but I digress as I recall the TWO $500 rings I bought in one year)

anyway, they can wear their wedding rings in Iraq. So, do I take it to be fixed, which will change the look of the ring since it's an open weave braid

or do I send him off to the Green Zone without it.

Currently he's got tape wrapped around it to make it fit.

I like the idea of the ring on a chain.

Where is he headed to in Iraq?

        Fix it and send it.

It wouldn't be on your mind if it didn't matter to you.

Send it on his finger or on a chain.

I agree, if it didn't really matter to you, you won't be thinking about it this hard. One way or another he should have it with him.

Get it adjusted so he can wear it.

just make sure they are careful w/the work, and the sizing seam will be in the back. It won't look just the same, but he can wear it w/the seam in the back and no one will know / notice.

I agree w/everyone who said you know you want to do it - you wouldn't be thinking this hard on it if it weren't important to you.

You can send it or get him a cheapy take to the desert ring. You could have it engraved and have it be a special "wedding ring."

I emailed the jeweler who made them and she said that if I FedEx it to them they can fix it for fifty bucks.

So, while he's gone this week I'll get it out.
