I'm embarrassed

at how much stuff we have. We had 4 guys helping us move today and it still took us about 8 hours. Yes it's a long drive, so that ate up some time, but... holy crap!

I guess that's what happens when you combine an elementary school teacher (they're notorious for collecting stuff) with someone who provides funding for that 'stuff'. UGH!!!
(Not to mention my obsessive compulsive book collecting disorder...)

Oh, and the water pump is not working at our new house, so we're still stuck at Big Blue for who knows how long. I'm bummed.

Don't feel bad Jodi, I have a book collecting disorder as well. When we moved it took three guys and me. ( Hers the worse part, he owned like three things besides his clothes, two of which I threw out.)

Don't be. 8 hours is NOTHING. It took our movers 1.5 days to pack our 1100 sq foot house. When we moved from the apartment to the house it took 10 hours, and they were 1.5 miles apart. It WAS a 3 story walk up ... but still.

I hope the water heater is fixed promptly and you FINALLY get to be in your house.

Our last move took about 10 hours (apt to apt) and only an hour drive between two places. For the next one, I'm thinking of getting the movers here at 6am.
