O.K. so I'm not going to hassle my O.B. on a Saturday if I can help it, so...I have the worst cold and I vaguely remember that I can take decongestants, but I am uncertain enough to have abstained so far...

I think I might die if I don't get some chemical assistance (now you know why I am in the theatre)...

Anyone remember, know, or have a spouse who knows what I can take while pregnant?

    Thank you

you can take benadryl, or the basic, basic robitussin w/none of the good stuff added.

****disclaimer: not a doctor, of course. but it's what I took.

    I hope you feel better.

Thank you...DH has been focused enough on eyes for long enough now that he is totally useless. That is what I remember I won't hold you responsible for medical advice, just looking for other moms who remember what their conditions were

Actually my OB in MI & here said to shy away from beneadryl, she said to take actifed and for a cough, the Robitussin cough gel caps. I have both in my medicinre cabnit and took them a month ago when we were all sick.

Sudafed is a class C for pregnancy, possibly unsafe.

I actually have just waited it out. The worst is at night and I've been getting better. Thanks for your responces I realized late in the game that this question made some leery...so no worries. I just thought that with all the recent pregnancies and babies, someone might have run into this issue. Thanks again

I sucked down the Robitussin for a week in my fourth month with DS. I was sick as a dog. He seems normal so far (he's 10). :> I think it must have been OK with the docs; I never take anything even when not pregnant. I can 't imagine I'd have been pounding the cough syrup without their consent.

We are a cautious bunch with the medical advice, though - aren't we? DH did an OB residency, but I wouldn't give out his word now. He's been in cancer for too long now.
