Heidi I saw this and thought of you - I'm sure you're glad you're not there anymore...

Yeah, to say I am glad I am not there anymore is such an understatement. I really do not miss shoveling snow at all. To think, they are talking about below average temps here that are low 50's. Not too shabby. Still makes me want to go even further south though. :>

          I hope Annie is okay!

This picture is outside our townhouse in Albany. This was after one snowfall. Two weeks later another one came that more than doubled this one. We had, and I am not kidding, a 7 foot wall of snow in our driveway. I don't have any pictures of that, but a week later, I do have some poor quality video of a bunch of idiot med students diving in snow piles and sledding down our driveway during or after the Super Bowl that year.

I completely forgot about Annie - probably not the best first impression for a NY winter to make.

Speaking of Annie (again) has anyone talked to her since Tuesday - she hasn't posted since then and that's not like her when she's home.

There's a lot of people without power, too. I certainly hope our peeps are warm and cozy.

So I googled Annie's location versus Parish, NY which is where they keep saying is getting all of this snow. Annie is about two hours away, a little east but mostly south - hopefully she's not buried.

I have a friend whose husband is a military doc at the Army base in upstate NY. Even before all of this snow her husband would joke that upstate NY was where the Army sent people to train for Alaska (because it was worse)!

The pictures of her house during all of that snow and afterwards were
Who uses a machete to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass
