  • favorite web sites?

I love to play around on Expedia and Travelocity just to plan dream travel plans. I just planned a fabulous trip for two to Istanbul and Ankara on one of these web sites for less than $2,000. Of course, I'll probably be collecting social security by the time that I can take such a trip, but I have so much fun dreaming.

I also love to go on Realtor.com and check out the houses on the market and dream about the day when we can buy a little house with a front porch and mature trees on the grounds. It is also fun to see how much property sells for near our townhome to gauge if we are making any returns on our investment.

I try to forbid myself from visiting Amazon.com because it is too easy to spend money there. This site is a life saver for mailing presents back home, however. Actually, my girlfriend's Babies-r-us registry was online so I just pointed, clicked, and shipped her present. No need to go to a specialty store, gift wrap it, and send it off...

What sites does your web browser have saved as favorites?

    eBay, eBay and eBay!!!

I bought all of the centerpieces for my wedding, a wedding dress that looked horrible that I then resold on eBay, Rick's wedding ring, my engagement ring, the tulle to decorate the backyard...

My living room rug, a really cute Uncle Sam for my living room, a piece of my crystal (for 19 dollars rather than the 60 that they normally sell for!) a platter from my every day dishes, a really cute silver cordial set...

Now, I'm bidding on everything Pittsubrgh to make a collage of things for my dad's 60th birthday. I'm only buying items that are selling for $1 and $10. It's been really fun so far!

I'm also a half.com addict and I love expedia, travelocity, and orbitz. I always end up buying from expedia though.

When I was doing the research for Rick's birth family, I was on http://www.rootsweb.com frequently.

and for general searching- google or askjeeves.

My favorites list includes medicalspouse.com of course. Luckily my husband doesn't play much on the computer so he never tries to find this site.

I also have travelocity, ebay, google, photo centers (so I can view pictures we take of our baby), various job hunting sites for neonatology so I can always dream and get some sense of where we will end up.

I could spend all day on the internet. It is pretty sad, but sometimes when I am bored I will look up people's names just to see if anything comes up. I have found a few old friends that way.
