  • Don't put jello in cake mix!!!!

Hahahaha!!! I made Alex's Blue's Clues' B-day Cake today..he's turning three tomorrow and we're having a family party at the roller rink today....and I used white cake mix. To add a blue tint, I thought I was being ingenious by using jello blueberry delight (or something like that). It was a beautiful blue...and then.....it just kept fizzing in the oven!!!!!! I lost half of the cake to the bottom of the oven

Haha...well, I weighed the .33 cents for jello against the 3.00 for the package of food coloring and thought I was being really creative....We used the cake, and the blue swirls DID taste like blueberry!!!

Well, next time I'll either have to spring for the food coloring or use a deeper pan!!
