I've considered joining this too.....but I'm just not sure. It is actually a way to save money for college by...spending money and getting a portion back from different retailers....we are considering our money options right now. We are reading a book that says it is probably more important to put your money into retirement than into college funds The premise is that students can get scholarships and loans at low interest rates, but that if you don't put the money back to retire that you may be headed for financial difficulties....this might be an interesting way to spend money on the things you buy anyway and still save money....

    Has anyone tried this?

The only thing that I'd add is that whether or not it is worth it depends on whether or not you actually buy the products there and whether or not you'd save more by buying sale items and putting the difference away?

At the end of the day, I don't think that it is realistic for us at least to think that we'll be able to put away enough for our kids college.....the estimate is almost $200,000 for a BA now for one child.........ACK!

$200,000 for a BA? They must be kidding. What school do they have the child attending?! That's outrageous. You can get through UNC *out-of-state* for 7,000 per year - double it to cover personal expenses? You're looking at 60,000 max. Not to mention, the child can work in the summer to subsidize some of the expenses! That figure must be for the Ivy of the Ivy leagues.
