  • The War on Terrorism

How's everyone feeling about everything going on? My step-brother is in the Navy and he's out on a boat....his wife just had a baby and he was supposed to be home this month...now his orders have been changed to June, with the fear that they may be extended again....

There are days when it's so abstract that it's easy to forget about. But then we have docs activated or returning from being overseas and it all comes back. I really disagree with some of the decisions that have been made on the domestric end of things but I still support what we are doing in Afganistan. I hope that they serious consider the ramifications of getting involved with Iraq again, and what that can do to the region.

I'm concerned about getting involved with Iraq again too, simply because I think we're spread a bit thin...It's become painfully clear that we haven't "won" in Afghanistan after the recent deaths...and I'm afraid if we put troops in too many places that we might get into trouble simply because we don't have the manpower??

Iraq frightens me too. I can't imagine how the family of the "missing pilot" from 1991 must be feeling.
