Someone mentioned having a ton of books around the house and needing to get rid of them before moving. You can always try to find a local used bookstore to see if they want to buy your books or you can try selling them online like at Half.com or Amazon.com.
But what about if we try giving these books away to each other? I know -- sounds confusing and way too much work, right? It doesn't have to be. I have some very good books that I will gladly give away as long as the person requesting the book(s) will pay postage. You can ship books Media Mail which takes somewhere between 4 and 14 days to receive. For a paperback, that's only $0.78 for shipping and the heavier books might cost $2.00.
So in an effort to see if this might work or if anyone is interested, I am going to list a few books here. First come, first serve and you are welcome to have one or more of the books. I imagine that if we got our spouses involved in this, we could arrange to sell off some of their medical books which would allow those needing them to buy them at reduced prices while you could pocket a few bucks, too.
1. The Birth Order Book by Dr. Kevin Leman
2. Natural Pregnancy by Carolle Jean-Murat, MD (This is a BRAND NEW book)
3. Shetland Sheepdogs by Beverly Pisano
4. Choosing the Perfect Dog for You and Your Family by Mordecai Siegal
5. West Highland White Terriers by Martin Weil
6. Great Danes by Diane McCarty
7. English Springer Spanies by Diane McCarty
Yes, these are mostly dog books, but I figured I would try some books that I thought people might be interested in to start. These books are all in good shape and are clean, tight copies.
