  • Help! Wedding tomorrow- need gift!

So my DH and I have a wedding to go to tomorrow that is a friend of my DH's from med school. I am close to his fiance and they're great! Anyway, there was a wedding gift that I love to give called the ABC's of Love plaque but apparently no one sells this anymore.

Any good wedding gift idea's besides registry stuff?

Glasses to go with wine/champagne? Cookbook, gift card to a restaurant, couples massage.

In NY we usually give money, but I heard it's not done in midwest.

I usually stick with registry stuff- but make it something fun off the registry- like port glasses with a bottle of port or their champagne glasses with a bottle of champagne-

If they picked china- get the cheese plate and a gift certificate to a chi-chi food store.

      I've done monogrammed towels, too.

I rarely if EVER bring a gift to the wedding because it's such a hassle to have to schlep the gifts back to the house. (for the bridal party)

My rule of thumb is this- if they're under 25 and/or doomed, I buy towels from Target.

If they're 40+, I buy really, really good stemware and a really, really good bottle of something.

If they're really good friends that I have actually supped and sipped with, I'll do the stemware thing.

If they're Joe Blow people- They get a $25-50 gift off the registry.

Or you could get them a gift card for the store where they are registered if you don't want to do cash.
Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

I think digital frames are great wedding gifts, although if it is tomorrow you may have a hard time finding one that is affordable.
