I hope that you all have wonderful holiday weekends. My dh is working all weekend, but the baby & I are going out of town to visit some distant relatives who have a 6 week old little girl. *cuteness*

We are going to NW Oklahoma to a reunion of a branch of DH's family -- I went to this reunion as a 21 year old fiancee 12 years ago this weekend. It's funny to think of all that has transpired in the intervening years. We are excited to actually get to spend a holiday weekend with family -- during residency, it never happened because a) we were too far away and b) my husband was almost never off, as you all understand.



My husband is off today and has planted some flowers and shrubs that I never got around to doing. Today is my oldest's last day of school, so I really feel like summer is here. My youngest had a virus this week (blisters all over the roof of his mouth) and cut three teeth, but that is all behind us finally, so things are looking up.

We're not doing too much here. Rick is on-call in the PICU on Sunday but at least he's off Saturday and Monday. I have a nasty sinus infection so I'm not feeling that great. Oh well. Better living through chemistry this weekend!



Hope everyone who is traveling is careful in the roads. I hate driving on busy weekends! (of course, I hate driving in general!)
