      Leni can suck it if she doesn't like your house in its current state. Just put a broom in her uninjured hand when she steps off the plane. :run:

      If you have the book Home Comforts, thumb through it. Always lights the fire under my butt to clean.

        That's true, didn't she supervise you scrubbing out your bathtub within a couple of days of your C-section or something? Payback time!

          Why is it that we feel so obliged to look cleaner than we really are for company? What is your MIL coming for, after all?!

              Time to teach the kids how to use the broom and vacuum. If MIL complains tell her that it's your new educational program and if you do it for them, they'll never learn. Meanwhile sit on the couch with your feet up and a drink in your hand instructing them on who's doing what wrong.
