Hiking on Friday... (which was AWESOME!!) Gotta love Northern California for all its hiking!! Spouse is working shift work in the ER the rest of the weekend... 7am-7pm both days....Sat. night is a get-together at a local bar to celebrate one of the Intern's birthday... should be fun!

Luckily, this first rotation has been really nice in terms of scheduling... Plus, we make it a point to do something outside whenever we are both off from work. Of course, not having kids makes it a lot easier to have 'us' time. I really admire all you people out there with children during this time!!!

I hope everyone else enjoys their weekend!

      Kris,

That sounds like a lot of fun. What are you planning for August? We are just hanging out at home and the hospital!!!

My stepson plays Baseball, so we will see a few games. I really enjoy watching him play, he is 16 and plays in the 16 to 18 group. My daughters have never been very athletic, so this has been a new adventure for me.

Hiking does sound awesome, Carey! I bet Northern CA has some wonderful trails!!! We have just gotten into this as well....which also answers Luanne We are planning a camping trip in August. Many state parks in SD have great hiking trails and water parks for the kids......and so that is where we are at with the planning. We are all really excited...hmmmmmmm can I survive without the computer???

We had our we survived 2nd year party. We had a very good turnout- 11 out of the fifteen of them came- and one was on-call and one had family in town- so all in all, it was a great response.

We had a couple new additions to the class- (babies that is-)So we all played pass the baby and oooohed and awed. Of course with a room full of pediatricians, you'd expect that. IT was really funny- they were all doing mini developmental assessments. Fun with doctors!

Hope everybody had a good weekend. We leave Wednesday for a week at my parent's so I'll be sporadic at best.

          Later all-

          Jenn
