  • Hi from the desert

    Hi everyone,

I have not been around much lately with the move and travelling but I am enjoying catching up with the forums. We are slowly getting our apartment organised here, and finding our way around. Spottydog and Mr. Spottydog have been great with the local info, all the important stuff like where to find Ikea and Trader Joes!

The bad news is that DH will probably not be able to officially start intern year next week, because the ecfmg have been super super slow in validating his qualifications (for overseas med school). It sucks sucks sucks!!!! We are not sure what is going to happen, he will probably have to use his vacation time until it is sorted out.

Hope all the other movers are doing OK!

yup. it happened to my dh too. they seem to be slow, and say that the process will take X amount of time...but it came soon enough! good luck...glad you're getting settled.

Hey there! gald to hear you made it...sorry it's an unusuallly hot week(and we all know by now for PHX to be unusually hot that it is sunshine hell temperatures).
I told Spotty Dog come mid Aug when the older 2 head off to Montessori, I will be up for get togethers and especially trail walking/ park stuff in the fall!
It's time for me to "Bloom where I have been planted" ( recognize the phrase JennP?).

oh and the slow processing, was a factor for my DH as well.

I'd love to meet you sometime pinkpickles! We went into South Mountain park for a wander last night and loved it. And vowed to go back in the fall! There were people jogging, I dont undertand how they can in this heat!

One of the best times to come down. My kids still think it's funny to be able to Trick-or-Treat without needing coats.
