  • so this is what it is like

Now that my husband is off service and the equipment for his research won't be ready for another week, he got to come home this morning post-call.

After three months, I had the opportunity to go out alone to the gym today. I felt so free not to have to worry about my daughter being in child care or to hurry through my workout before the child care closed for the afternoon.

I have forgotten what independence was like and I won't take it for granted again for a long time.

    Oh Jennifer,

I'm so glad that these three months are behind you guys!!! It must feel great getting back to the gym without worry.....and I'm sure that now that he is getting more sleep that you will both have more time to do some fun things as a family!!!

    Enjoy!! Really...you deserve it!!

      Jennifer--

Here's hoping that life is still blissful for you. The good times are so much sweeter after the pain of a bad rotation. Enjoy!

I'm so happy for you, Jennifer! It probably felt similar to an out of body experience! I'm sure just that little trip to the gym made a huge difference! Is this schedule likely to stick around for a bit, even a week? Maybe you could make it to somewhere else to treat yourself! Coffee, nails, shopping, bookstore, take your pick!

We have been blessed this month with my husband being home during the day more because the lab isn't ready for him to start research. He has been sleeping a lot because he was on-call every other night for the first 12 days. Now he is on vacation for two weeks! That means I am on vacation too. He has been so helpful around the house, especially since I have had another week of daily migraines. We have some things planned for our time off. I am excited!

            Thanks for your well wishes!
