Use your sun block today is the longest day of the year, ie more sunlight!

I will never forget the year my dad took us to my uncles house on the solstice...we were in the pool from AM until sundown...with no sunscreen or t shirts to protect our fair Irish skin...can we say blisters the size of my palm( a child's hand) on my back...I actually remember waking up and realizing that some had burst and that my might shirt was adhering to my burnt back...every year I recall this memory on this day!

What a horrid memory!! I don't think I have ever had a burn that bad. Although I do remember coming home from a day at the beach, and crying as my mother rubbed aloe on my back.

DH and I are attending a Midsommar party tomorrow night, so should be fun.

The weather is cloudy and crappy here, so it's not like I will be out running at 9:30 tonight or anything.

Happy belated solstice! What a bad memory! I have similar sunburn stories from childhood.

OUCH! We were in Vegas on the 21st and the temp reached 114 degrees! YOWZA! We had a convertabile rental car and there was no way I going to put the top down! Good thing the hotel we stayed at had an enormous pool.
