We're going to shop for my engagement ring this weekend. I never got one, because we were so poor when we got engaged. We refuse to take out loans, and have just enough money set aside for me to get my ring.

We're doing the dessert portion of a roving BBQ party. I'm not sure what to call it......we're going to 3 neighbor's homes first and ending here.

I think I'm going to bake and make ice cream. We may fire up the firepit for some smores as well.

And we can use the hot tub!!

DH is on call on Sunday - lots of solo activities.

I'm hanging out with a girlfriend and we'll be going to IKEA to buy a temporary fix to hold her huge new TV until she finds the perfect piece of furniture. I'm sure much Guinness will be consumed.

Then Monday I'm going out to central PA to visit a friend who just moved there and whose first child is due later this month.

We could totally hang out on Sunday or Monday

We are headed to the Renaissance Fair on Saturday, I will be hopefully completing my re-organization projects and DH had better finish his fellowship applications. Maybe some sitting around too.

                  Hi all,
we are going to NYC this weekend! I went recently with someone for a bachelorette party, and it was awful. I feel like I need to erase that experience...have a do-over to block out the last time. Fiance has switched call nights and gotten Labor Day off, so we are going to have our golden weekend in NYC! I can't wait.

Here's what we did today: DH worked with Sue's Dad, BIL & 1 neighbor on the deck. Sue, her sister & I stained the frames of 7 windows (they had new windows installed last year, and Frank never got around to staining them, but didn't want anyone else to b/c they wouldn't do a good enough job), laid 20 bags of mulch, unloaded (with shovels and a broom) 1 ton of pebbles in a garden path, removed poorly placed pavers before putting the pebbles down, wiped down and painted the trim in her office ... I think that it.

Tomorrow is another day. We'll be painting the office, staining the floor, and dh & the guys will be finishing the deck.

Did I mention that I hate her soon-to-be-ex husband?

Wow- you guys get friends of the year.

and I surely hope that someone took pictures of you guys doing all of the work so that if he tries to get half the proceeds of the house, she can prove that he did nothing to improve it's market value.

DH has to work over the weekend. Booooo.

                        Sat: Friend's BBQ
Sun: Birthday Dinner with friends and family.
Mon: Impromptu BBQ, in which DH decided TODAY that he is inviting the whole department over. Yeah for me!

DH will be post call so he'll be home. We are having another couple over for burgers. He just got his 1st grill, so he's really excited and feels like a real man.

We're decompressing at home after 2 months in Minnesota on away rotations.
Oh right, and submitting ERAS. Finally! Can't wait for this process to get a move on.
