here is the real mecca of coupons and deals - I check out what these gals come up with from time to time, and have used quite a few.

If you don't want all those emails, you can always change your notifications so you only receive the Daily Digest.
      How do I do that?

If I'm going to buy something online, I always just google for coupon codes for that seller and usually can get at least $10 off or free s/h. I don't know much about the other sites, but that's what I do. Every little bit helps...

Yep, Freecycle is through Yahoo!GROUPS and it's really easy to change your email delivery options.

Go to the group site. On the upper left area (right above where it says the specific name of your group) there's a link that says "Edit Membership". Click on that link. In the new page under "#2" it will say "Message Delivery". Simply select whichever delivery methods you'd prefer. Give it a couple days for the Yahoo!GROUPS servers to catch up and begin only giving you the Daily Digest. They're a little slow on the uptake sometimes.

Here is a link to a site that not only lets you know everything that is happening in your area "good deals wise" but also gives you additional discount for being a member (which is free).
