  • Hotels in San Fransisco

Dh and I are going to the anesthesia conference in San Fran and we need to find a nice hotel for a decent price. We will be staying with friends for some of the trip but for the days that he needs to be at the conference we need to stay in downtown.

    Any suggestions would be great!

We stayed at the Cow Hollow Motor Inn. It has free parking and is in a great area (Marina/Cow Hollow). It's much nicer than a motel, and more hotel-like.

to be honest nothing in san franciso is affordable. Although i think you are going to have a great time. we went there in may and i know we will return. so gorgeous and a complete different type of lifestyle. the hotel where the conf is-did they offer any discounted rates-that may help. to be honest the only way we made our way was a book i bought at barnes and noble I believe it was by Fedders-in the travel section. they have travel books on all of the cities but the $12 you spend will be well worth it. It has all hotel with prices and contact info, location, transportation option (cab, cable car or train routes) and even it is sectioned in price ranges. Along with dining, day trips, how to walk and see some great sites in 1 day. That would give you something to do while he is busy. It also had a great map that is very detailed-he even gives details like how many blocks you go then turn down a small street to get you ther quickly and safely. that way you can make the most out of your time
