Scientific American Mind had something about the dominant eye thing recently. Here's how to tell what yours is: Point at something far away with both eyes open. Point right at it. Then close one eye and don't move your finger. If your finger's still pointing at whatever it was, the open eye is your dominant one.

I've tried it a few times - I think I'm overthinking it, though, because I keep seeing two fingers and not being able to decide that I'm actually pointing right at whatever it is. *sigh*.

Sandy, I have that happen too! The two finger thing. But when I close one eye and open the other it is always my left eye that is dominant. :huh:

I am right-handed, but a lefty in gymnastics.

DH is a lefty, but ambidextrious in all sports.

DD righty but kicks with her left leg.

Lefties are special!
Can openers are the worst! I have to have dh open cans for me. I can't get any strength into bearing down and twisting with my right hand.

dh and ds are lefties. I don't notice any particular difficulties for them other than dinner table seating (bumping arms if you put them on the wrong sides of us).
