First, I'm so sorry that you and your family are having to deal with this situation. But being honest is never wrong. Ever. Particularly when you have addiction added into your family dynamic. People with addictions are master manipulators who seem able to twist everyone else's world so that the lies seem more real than the truth.
Now, there are ways to be honest that are better than others. If you're parents are smack in the middle of enabling your brother's behavior, they're not going take it well if you beat them over the head with their mistakes or shortcomings. However, being loving yet firmly honest while discussing YOUR feelings will likely have a greater chance of being heard through all their walls of self-pity and guilt.
Being angry is a very natural reaction. You just need a healthy and constructive outlet to vent it.
