I'm going to try out the poll thingy here.

I don't really feel that strongly about caffeine being bad for you, but I need to avoid the calories in coke and I hate diet drinks -- I always wonder what exactlly I am drinking if there isn't even any sugar in there -- just a bunch of chemicals? It freaks me out.

Also, Travis has an extreme caffeine sensitivity -- if he has any (even in chocolate) his heart skips beats, so he really tries to avoid it. I bet he was the only OB/GYN resident in his program that didn't rely on caffeine to get him through -- he wished he could have it many times!

So, between the two of us, we don't ingest much caffeine around here.

My husband is a complete addict. It's so funny. He's not only an addict, he's a snobby addict. Oh, no Folgers for him- it's imported, small farm, Guatamalan beans grown in the shade by some man named Carlos. Or it seems that way anyway!

Grind your own, and use purified water- ONLY. It kills me.

Got to have my cup of joe

I totally need my cup of coffee in the morning. Just one cup is all I need but if I don't have it I have withdrawal headaches. It's not pretty. On weekdays I do the instant General Foods thing but on weekends and if husband is home (big IF here) we'll grind coffee fresh and enjoy with our paper. I like it with lots of sugar - enough to make my hands shake a bit! I learned that trick in college!
